The Victorian Village Historic District, located in the eastern quadrant of Downtown Memphis, was once known as “Millionaire’s Row” because of the Victorian-style homes and mansions lining the streets and the wealthy Memphis residents that lived in them, in then the outskirts of the city. Many of the homes from the mid to late 1800s are still standing, from Woodruff Fontaine House to Mallory Neely House, James Lee House to Mollie Fontaine (just to name a few). Some of those homes have been repurposed into museums, bed and breakfast, Memphis nightlife spots and more.
